The 1940's Temprite Jr. was one of the top two most popular coolers/ice chests ever produced. It was introduced in the late 40's and manufactured through the late 50's. These American Retro Classic Temprite Jr. Coolers are exact replicas of the 1940’s thru 1950’s all steel “six pack” Temprite and Acton picnic coolers. This is the Junior model, the most popular of the collectable coolers. It enjoys chrome corners on the top edge, a chrome handle and a chrome-locking bar. There is a built in bottle opener on the side. The original coolers were “embossed” with only three different names, (Coca-Cola, Snakmaster and City Club Beer). The larger coolers of the same vintage had many different names. American-Retro embosses theirs with many different names. Our new Coke Machines are exact replicas of the 1930’s thru 1940’s all steel and very collectable Westinghouse Machines. Westinghouse only made these machines for the Coca-Cola brand soda and they let everyone know it. They are "embossed" everywhere. They have "Drink Coca-Cola" on all four sides and "ICE COLD" on the front and back sides. Even on the underside of the lid, it's embossed "Drink Coca-Cola" so you would see it when you opened the machine. They have a bottle opener on the side with a removable cap catcher. All were red with white lettering, some had a big 5 cents between the top lettering and the bottom lettering on the front and back. Most were found in small "Mom and Pop" stores of the 1930's, Barber shops and Gas Stations. They are the perfect size for the house, game room or patio. Their design makes them perfect for bottles or cans. Available in Ice Box and Refrigerated Model.

SAD FACE PEDAL SEDAN
The American Retro pedal sedan was inspired by the very rare "sad face" sedans of the late 1940's. Heavy gauge steel construction is trimmed with a chrome windshield, chrome hood ornament, chrome steering wheel and chrome hub caps. Each one has adjustable pedals. Recommended ages 2 to 6 years old. Adult supervision required. |

PEDAL RACER
Our Racer was inspired by the famous 1952 through 1957 Ferrari F2 Racers and other Grand Prix type racers of that era. The famous and rare Giordani Racers of the mid fifties is also in its heritage. Whereas most of the Giordani Racers were made of fiberglass, the American Retro Racer is all steel, and is the Flagship car in the American Retro pedal car line-up. It is a beautiful car, so well proportioned most people are unaware of how big it is. Almost 50% bigger than the other American-Retro pedal vehicles. It comes with chrome rims, a chrome steering wheel, chrome knock off spinners, chrome windshield and a big chrome grille. This is a very unique vehicle that will light up the heart of any child. Recommended for ages 3 to 7. Adult supervision required. |

JALOPY PEDAL CAR
The American Retro Jalopy Pedal Car favors a miniature Model A. As with all American-Retro products, this vehicle is made from heavy gauge steel withsolid rubber tires and the details of these new models make them stand apart from the crowd. New Jalopy models are larger than the previous ones, but these 1929 model Pedal Cars will still charm your socks off. They are 11% bigger than previous American Retro Jalopy Pedal Cars, which may not sound like much, but when every measurment has been increased 11% the entire vehicle becomes considerably larger. Of course, they kept the original cute look, just scaled it up. They also added steel nuts to hold on the wheels with chrome hubcaps and a beautiful hood ornament. Pedals are adjustable and have been lowered an inch so a six year can now easily ride it. They also improved their boxes, making them easier to unload and repack. Note the real wood dash and metal gauges. And even through this vehicle went 11% bigger and from 22 lbs to 40 lbs in weight, American-Retro has kept their prices the same. Suggested ages: 3 to 6 years old.Jalopies are ideal entry-level pedal vehicles. Adult supervision required.

The Estate Wagon is another 'sad face.' Like the Pedal Sedans, it was inspired by the famous 'sad face' Ranch Wagons of the late 1940's. It's a beautiful pedal car, the closest thing the pedal car world has to a 'woody.'

PEDAL AIRPLANE
The famous 1941 Steelcraft U. S. Army Patrol Plane inspired the American Retro pedal planes. These models are made of heavy gauge steel just like the originals. But they've added chrome and lots of it -- on the windshield, steering wheel, hubcaps, exhaust ports, hood scoops, and propeller. When this plane is pedaled, the propeller turns. Ages 3 to 6. We make this model in several color combinations. Adult supervision required.

PEDAL FIRE TRUCK
The famous and very collectable sad face pedal cars of the late 1940's inspired this deep red fire truck. There are real wooden ladders on both sides of the truck mounted on their own chrome plated, high hopped, grab bars. Our fire truck comes in a deep red highlighted with either white graphics. Real wooden ladders grace the rear on their own chrome plated, high hopped, grab bars. Speaking of chrome, this vehicle has lots of it, the windshield, the steering wheel, hubcaps, ringing bell and the above said ladder bars are all chromed. This truck has it all. Perfect for you junior fireman or firelady. Ages 3 to 6. Adult supervision required.

The total weight capacity of our pedal vehicles is 50 pounds. Loads which are heavier than this (and children, no matter how cute they are) can nullify your warranty and break or damage the vehicle.
American-Retro not only uses "non-toxic" materials in all of our vehicles, but we put our products through a rigorous testing procedure to ensure our pedal vehicles comply with the requirements of the Federal Hazardous Substances Acts (16 CFR 1500 and 16 CFR 1303), and the Standard Consumer Safety Specifications on Toy Safety (ASTM F 963-96a). American-Retro has complied with CPSC and CPSA regulations and bans on products bearing lead-containing paint. We make sure there are no harmful lead contaminates in our toys and they are safe for children.
Our pedal cars are made from heavy gauge steel. Additionally, most of the other parts and decorations are also made from metal, with the exception of the "Jalopy" models which do have some plastic decorations.
We ship via Federal Express Ground Service in the continental United States. All other destinations will be considered on a case by case basis.
Your order will arrive within 7-12 business days, depending on how far you are away from the warehouse in California.

Alternately, you can also order generic, or plain colored pedal cars or coolers in your choice of colors and apply your own decals and artwork if you need less than the minimum custom order amount.
There is a 90-day limited warranty for all pedal vehicles against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from receipt by the original end-user purcharser. For more information, please refer to the Warranty and Policy details below.
